HOME

On November 5, Zumbrota-Mazeppa District residents will decide whether to invest in continued improvements to our schools. This investment would repair and upgrade our school buildings to meet the needs of today's students and those who will follow for years to come.

The purpose of this website is to provide the information you will need to make an informed vote. This includes details about the needs of our students and our school buildings, how the plan was developed, details of the plan, and the tax impact on residents.

Investing in Future Cougars!

THE NEED

As a smaller school system that provides BIG opportunities, we work hard to use space wisely. However, we have reached the point where new investments are needed to sustain success.

THE PLAN

The School District spent over three years evaluating our schools’ needs and receiving our communities input to help refine the plan. Thoughtful consideration has been put into correctly identifying the needs in our buildings.

A community survey was offered to district residents in the summer of 2019. Over 800 residents responded with the majority indicating that they would like a new plan put to vote.

THE COST

Throughout the planning process, the District’s goal was to create a plan that provides opportunity by removing learning barriers and promoting success for all students. At the same time, we respect that local taxpayers fund the plan, so we have worked to provide a high level of value for our investment.
